Additions to the Diagram

Quick update to the diagram, and therefore an update to my research - this was the diagram as of I believe around two days ago (09/10?) and following on from that is the diagram from today (11/10). The update mainly addresses the previous gap in the knowledge of the subject of my research (sound art) which is empty on this previous diagram.

The updated diagram has expanded to the top left zone (sound art) and has amassed another section which overlaps which reflects the close nature of art and musical composition and notes research into Musique Concrète, Steve Reich etc. The overlapping area includes the works of John Cage and Luigi Russolo, both considered artists yet their pieces link clearly to both sound art and composition.

The other addition to the diagram is the synthesise of colours etc between associated musicians and artists as well as the introduction of themes which create additional links between pieces of art and music which do not necessarily use the same techniques but address similar things. This is the case for the work of Luigi Russolo (The Art of Noise) and Susan Philipsz piece War Damaged Musical Instruments which both relate to the theme of war but employ completely different techniques to do this.

Following on from this, I think I will also attempt to synthesise areas of the diagram (musical composition, sound art, self built instruments, Gray and 22 A Million) as well as individual pieces of art/artists from these areas to allow me to present my findings on each of these elements in more detail.
