Following a tutorial with Sebastian at the beginning of the week which allowed me to justify the selection of the site adjacent to Coatsworth Road and Bewick Road, I created three diagrams to highlight conditions of the site which I considered important to the site. The diagrams each identify the location and boundary to the site, edges to the site and the entrances to the site.
The diagrams allowed me to decipher which conditions of the site needed further clarification on site such as which of the buildings creating edges to the site were facing inwards onto the site or backing onto it as this will affect the location of the building on the site as well as the height and distance between the old and new buildings. Sebastian suggested I was to look at some of the courtyard buildings in Newcastle such as Newcastle Arts Centre and the Live Theatre. I aim to view these tomorrow after visiting the site.
