Continuing with the original tasks at hand of providing an idea of interior and exterior by using floorboards into an area of the base which surrounded the original vessel space, the base was placed onto castors to allow for the artefact to be moved and turned so that the interior and exterior of the piece can be rotated depending on its siting and context.
I also spent the day experimenting with other materials such as foam, polystyrene, plaster and reclaimed timber to consider the ways in which they can represent qualities of those materials which can be found on a typical Tyneside Flat. Below are several iterations of this.
